Lisa Kashinsky, who has been covering Methuen for the Eagle-Tribune for the past four years, is going to the Boston Herald.
Some personal news: Tomorrow is my last day at @EagleTrib. I’ve grown professionally and personally here the past four years, and worked alongside some incredibly talented colleagues who I’m very sad to leave. But I’m not going far — catch me in @bostonherald starting next week!

The Herald’s problems are well documented. But the Eagle-Tribune isn’t faring much better.
“I’ve covered stories in the Merrimack Valley bigger than I ever imagined — the gas disaster, a plane crash, a presidential race, #MA3 — met plenty of interesting characters, and have been touched by plenty of residents and their willingness to share their lives with me,” she said in a follow-up tweet.
As a side note, I follow almost every newspaper reporter in Massachusetts on Twitter. The Eagle-Tribune should get bonus points for how earnest and enthusiastic their reporters are on Twitter. Too young to be jaded, and too under-paid to do much more than tweet, I guess.
